Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Perform assessments, develop, and implement patient-specific care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform procedures such as blood draws, IV starts, and EKGs accurately and timely.
• Respond efficiently to emergency situations, following protocols and ensuring resident safety.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in accordance with facility procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Current valid licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) license in California.
• Current CPR certification (BLS level).
• Good physical health and stamina, with the ability to walk, bend, lift, and perform manual patient care skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Dependable with a good attendance record.
• Strong assessment skills and resourcefulness in emergency situations.
• Ability to follow directions, adapt to changing needs, and work effectively within a team.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in patient/family education and working with diverse populations.
