- Full-time, Nights shift, Travel assignment, 8-week duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients, including cervical ripening, labor induction, and high-risk maternal monitoring
- Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Monitor fetal well-being using GE fetal monitors and other equipment, responding to fetal distress as needed
- Administer medications and interventions such as MgSO4, Pitocin, and insulin drips, following physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and positive outcomes
- Maintain documentation in electronic medical records, adhering to unit policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas or equivalent
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (must be current)
- Recent labor and delivery experience within the last year
- Proficiency with maternal, fetal, and neonatal assessment and care
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced, family-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- LDRP experience, including mother/baby, postpartum, OR circulator, or NICU
- Experience with Level II NICU or special care nursery preferred
- Knowledge of high-risk maternal and fetal procedures and interventions
- Strong communication and proactive attitude
