Registered Nurse Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-week assignment, Days shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Operating Room, supporting surgical procedures
- Circulate during surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment and proper protocol adherence
- Document procedures accurately using Epic charting systems
- Collaborate with surgical teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technologists
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-operative care as needed
- Support multiple OR specialties including general surgery (preferably DaVinci) and ophthalmology
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in Illinois
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 3-4 years of OR experience, with experience in circulating
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Ability to work within a 30-mile radius of the hospital
- Availability for 8-10 OR shifts per 8-week schedule, with ability to pick up additional shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience in the OR
- Experience with minimally invasive surgery, particularly DaVinci
- Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures

Additional Details
- On-call requirements: main OR shifts with 2-hour callback, approximately 8-10 shifts per 8-week schedule
- Call bill rate: $10 per hour, 2-hour minimum callback
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Client may cancel one shift every six weeks
