Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions, procedures, and discharge plans.
- Collaborate with other units and departments as needed to meet patient care needs.
- Share clinical knowledge and serve as a role model for staff and students.
- Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions.
- Administer respiratory treatments prescribed by physicians and communicate updates with medical and nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
- Valid Illinois Respiratory Therapist license (RRT).
- BLS certification.
- NRP-MHC certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
