Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in a medical-surgical setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other IV medications following protocols.
- Assist with procedures such as chest tube management, trach care, PICC/Central line access, and vascular device care.
- Monitor and document patient status during and after treatments, including sedation and procedure care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on clinical trials, stem cell transplants, and complex oncology treatments.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- BLS certification required; ONS/ONCC certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
- Willingness to obtain chemotherapy certification if not already certified.
- Experience with blood administration, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
- Prior experience working in a hospital setting with adult oncology patients.
- Experience with clinical trials, stem cell transplants, or hematology/oncology procedures.
