- Full-time, temporary (13-week assignment), day shift (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room for surgical patients across various service lines, including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
- Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and tech staff, to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow unit-specific policies, procedures, and documentation protocols using Cerner system.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operating room setting.
- Proven ability to perform broad surgical procedures including neuro, ortho, GYN, robotics, and trauma cases.
- Must have advanced surgical skills and knowledge of intraoperative practices.
- Ability to work variable schedule with call requirements.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with robotic surgery or advanced surgical technology.
- Familiarity with hospital policy on floating and unit-specific procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in fast-paced environments.
