Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, night shifts, varied schedules with every other weekend; no call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for the telemetry unit, including assessments, medication administration, and dressing changes
• Conduct basic EKG interpretation and manage patient monitoring
• Care for patients in medical cardiology, heart and lung surgery, and vascular surgery units
• Utilize electronic charting systems, medication administration systems, and other medical equipment such as epidurals, PCA pumps, chest tubes, wound vacs, and IV pumps
• Support step-down and critical care patients in a 40-bed unit, including those with temporary pacers and epicardial wires
• Float to related units such as MSICU, MSIMC, CICU, and occasionally to med-surg areas

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years telemetry nursing experience
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active nursing license in the state of Wisconsin

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC
• Familiarity with critical care equipment and procedures
