Key Responsibilities
- Perform adult trans-thoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Operate Philips Epiq and Philips IE33 ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of 6-8 echocardiogram studies per day.
- Assist with IV placements if capable.
- Maintain proper use of EMR (Epic) and PACS (McKesson) systems.
- Collaborate with in-house cardiologists for exam interpretations.
- Adhere to department protocols and attend orientation for departmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active IL license or confirmation of license application.
- Registered RDCS or RCS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience.
- Ability to start IVs if capable.
- Knowledge of EMR (Epic) and PACS (McKesson) systems.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with adult trans-thoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Familiarity with operating Philips ultrasound systems.
- Ability to work rotating start times and weekend shifts.
- Experience with scheduling and working in a fast-paced cardiology department.
