Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, daytime shift (7 AM - 7 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting.
- Assess patient needs, administer medications, and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care administered accurately.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, including orthopedics, joint replacements, fractures, shoulders, and podiatry cases.
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, care plans, and post-operative instructions.
- Demonstrate independent practice while managing contingencies and delegating appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a related specialty preferred.
- Ability to work days (7 AM - 7 PM), weekends, and every other week on-call.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in orthopedic surgery, joint replacements, or fracture management.
- Familiarity with circulating and scrub duties in the operating room.
