Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Dayton, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week contract, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate within team nursing or primary nursing models to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips, and respond appropriately to cardiac findings.
• Float to various Stepdown and Advanced Care units as needed, including multiple campus locations.
• Adhere to targeted patient ratios, typically 1:4, with flexibility up to 1:5-6.
• Comply with all safety protocols, including appropriate use of PPE and fit testing for N95 masks.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• 2+ years of recent, relevant hospital experience, preferably in a large Level 1 or Level 2 facility.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips; must pass online tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Willingness to obtain NIH certification.
• Able to float across various units and campus locations.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Travel experience and prior float assignments are highly preferred.
• Experience in large hospital environments, particularly in telemetry or stepdown units.
• PAPR mask fitting or willingness to use PAPR equipment.

• No block scheduling; 36 or 48 hours accepted.
• 13-week assignments with potential for extension; nights shift.
• Less than 10 miles from main campus, with floating support across multiple locations.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
