Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams in the operating room with procedures related to orthopedics, ENT, plastics, and general surgery.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies, including systems such as Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker for total joint replacements.
• Support surgeons and healthcare staff in a busy hospital environment with over 25 OR suites and an average of 75 to 100 cases daily.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and safety procedures during surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate specimen handling as required.
• Assist with procedures involving robotics and advanced surgical technology.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical tech role.
• Experience working in a large, high-volume acute care hospital with level 1 trauma designation.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Proof of initiation of North Dakota UAP application process within 3 business days of acceptance.
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic, ENT, and plastic surgery procedures.
• Ability to work extended hours if needed, including staying late beyond scheduled shift.
• Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing UAP Registry at least one week prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic surgical systems.
• Familiarity with systems such as Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker.
• Previous employment with Sanford Health within the last 6 months.
