Key Responsibilities

• Provide first assist support during surgical procedures in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Assist surgeons with complex surgeries including craniotomies, spine fusions, liver resections, Whipple procedures, and MAKO total joint procedures.
• Operate as a scrub and circulating technologist, ensuring sterile techniques and OR efficiency.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines.
• Support the use of advanced equipment such as DaVinci robotic systems and neuro/ortho trauma procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with VA licensure as a First Assist.
• Proficiency in orthopedic, neuro, and trauma procedures.
• Experience with DaVinci robotic systems and CVOR instrumentation.
• Ability to work 10-hour days with rotating call on weeknights and weekends.
• No floating policy; candidate must be able to rotate call as required.
• Uniform: Scrubs (provided).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in CVOR, neuro, orthopedic, and trauma surgeries.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Strong procedural skills in complex surgeries such as craniotomy, spine fusion, and liver resection.
