Key Responsibilities

• Circulate during surgical procedures including C-sections in a Level 1 trauma facility.
• Provide direct patient care for high-risk obstetric patients, newborn stabilization, antepartum, and postpartum populations.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using specialized equipment such as fetal monitors and epidural pumps.
• Administer medications and start IVs, including Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin infusions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Arkansas nursing license.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in labor and delivery.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to start IVs and draw labs on mothers and infants.
• Experience circulating in C-section surgeries; trauma experience preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Experience with high-risk OB patients and neonatal stabilization.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication systems.

Additional Notes

• No call required; rotating weekends and holidays.
• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, with up to every other weekend rotation.
• 14-bed LDR unit with triage, PACU, and ORs, supporting high-volume obstetric deliveries.
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility.
• Shift hours: 1830-0700.
• Orientation: 2-3 days.
