Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), Weekends required every other week, holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric critical care nursing in a float pool setting across multiple units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
- Float within scope of practice to meet the needs of the facility and different pediatric units
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and optimal care standards in high-acuity environments
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Support unit operations during peak times and staffing fluctuations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience
- Valid South Carolina RN license or multi-state/compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT is highly preferred
- Previous float pool or cross-unit experience in pediatric critical care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment
- Flexibility to accommodate a block schedule if approved by management

Additional Notes
- Travel nurses should be aware that during hurricane season (June to November), assignment shifts may include emergency response duties
- Location within a 60-mile radius of Charleston, SC, accepted on a case-by-case basis with a 10% reduction in bill rate for locals
- Guaranteed hours with a policy allowing call-off of one shift per two weeks
- All time off requests (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and approved based on unit needs
