Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for oncology and hematology patients in a 35-bed unit.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and other IV medications, following safety protocols.
• Float across Stepdown/Advanced Care units, supporting high-acuity patient care as needed.
• Interpret EKG strips, perform assessments, and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to EPIC electronic medical record documentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including N95 fitting and PAPR readiness if applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience in a stepdown or PCU setting, with some Level 1 or 2 experience preferred.
• Experience working with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with ability to read and interpret ECG strips.
• Must have oncology experience; sickle cell experience and chemo certification are preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5-6.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience.
• Prior float experience to various units, including high-risk respiratory or COVID units.
• Experience with blood product administration and complex medication drips.
