Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, night shifts, 13-week assignments with guaranteed hours of 3 shifts
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to IMC, PCU, and stepdown unit patients, including those recovering from bariatric surgery, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, trauma, and complex wound care cases
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform assessments in accordance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float within scope across departments and units as needed to meet facility requirements
• Ensure all patient safety and quality standards are maintained during night shift hours
• Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively in medical records

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license with pending license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting, specifically ICU/PCU/Stepdown units
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and accommodate a demanding schedule
• Willingness to float across units and departments within scope of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience caring for bariatric, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, trauma, or complex wound patients
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
