Key Responsibilities

• Performs planned patient care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions to the care team, physicians, and patients’ families as appropriate.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education to support patient understanding and well-being.
• Acts as an advocate for patients’ physical and emotional health during their surgical journey.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee RN license or multi-state license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience.
• Knowledge of general surgery, orthopedic, OB-GYN, and endoscopy procedures.
• Experience covering C-Sections and recovery of general surgery patients, including those with ETTs.
• Ability to work M-F 6:45 am – 3:15 pm shifts, with weekend and weekday call coverage.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with OR circulation and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with non-robotic surgical environments.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical settings and multidisciplinary teamwork.
