Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shift (7 AM – 7 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized telemetry nursing care to adult patients, including those recovering from heart catheterizations and bubble studies
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications via IV drips and PCA pumps
- Manage patients with central lines and chest tubes, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver optimal patient care
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Meditech)
- Support patient recovery and ensure smooth unit operations during assigned shift
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or appropriate state
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a telemetry or ICU setting
- Proficiency with IV pumps, chest tubes, and medication drips
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with heart cath recovery or advanced cardiac procedures
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
- Positive attitude, engaged personality, and strong critical thinking skills
