Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Fort Defiance, AZ

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, day shift, contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care in a busy ED environment, rotating through main ED, fast track, and observation units.
• Assist with triage, quick registration, COVID testing, immunizations, and entry screening.
• Support patient care during high-volume periods by adapting to various assignments within the department.
• Participate in assigned tasks such as answering call lights, managing patient loads, or administrative duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards, including COVID-related protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC certifications.
• Valid conscious sedation certification (obtained through the facility post-hire, with a fee).
• Active registered nurse license in the state of AZ or applicable state.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in fast-paced, diverse ED environments.
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and departmental changes.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
