Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency room patients across all age groups.
• Perform initial assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and re-assess patient progress.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and support staff, to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
• Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Utilize effective communication skills to coordinate care and educate patients and families.
• Participate in unit growth initiatives, staff orientation, and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Mexico or active Compact state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to handle emergency situations, with strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of emergency care protocols, infection control, and patient rights.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in an emergency department.
• Familiarity with Point of Care testing procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
