• 13-week assignments, night shifts (3 x 12-hour nights, 18:45 - 07:15)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response management
• Conduct and interpret cardiac dysrhythmia assessments, manage arrhythmias, and utilize rapid response teams as needed
• Perform GI care such as feeding tube management and renal care including pre/post hemodialysis, alongside IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management
• Monitor neurological patients, manage post-surgical neurosurgical care, and support respiratory needs with oxygen therapy and airway management tools
• Follow isolation, wound care protocols, and respond to various patient conditions including trauma, orthopedics, and respiratory issues
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification required; NIHSS and ACLS preferred
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, medication management (heparin protocols, vasoactive drips), IV insertions, and blood product administration
• Ability to interpret ABGs, manage respiratory devices, and respond to emergent patient needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in ER holding, neuro step-down, IMC, or step-down units
• Familiarity with external CPAP/BIPAP, tracheostomy care, and management of traumatic brain injury or orthopedic trauma patients
• Ability to manage complex medication protocols including Vasoactive and PCA drugs

Additional Notes
• Night shift availability required; no on-call or block scheduling preferences
• Candidate must reside at least 75 miles from the facility for consideration
• Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts every 13 weeks, with the possibility of floating within scope to meet unit needs
• Must possess current RN license and applicable certifications prior to start
• Work setting may include ICU step-down, neuro, ortho, and respiratory units, providing a diverse clinical experience
