Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients within the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Support patients following ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocols to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Float within scope to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry floors as needed, including units at Memorial Belleville and Memorial Shiloh.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (pending license accepted with conditions).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
- Experience with ERAS protocols is preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in acute care hospital settings.
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
- Flexibility to float within scope as needed.
