Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm flexible as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, monitoring and responding to patient needs.
- Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms accurately, ensuring prompt and appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Document patient information thoroughly and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure positive outcomes.
- Work at least every other holiday as required by hospital policy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent, recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit prior to travel.
- Current Ohio license or active Compact state license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIH certification required.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- OR experience in cardiac or telemetry units is a plus.
- Experience working in a hospital setting with high-acuity patients.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
