Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Location: Garfield Heights, OH

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess patient conditions, and document care plans accurately.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythm changes, utilizing ECG interpretation skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including medication administration and patient surveillance.
• Complete assessments such as NIHSS prior to start and participate in orientation requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 months recent experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing.
• Must possess an active Ohio licensure or a Compact State license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated ECG rhythm recognition skills.
• Ability to pass medication safety assessments during orientation.
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
• Must be vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated per hospital policy.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a hospital setting with adult patient populations.
• Charge nurse or leadership experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems.
