- Night shifts / Travel contract, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry patients and ensure accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Perform procedures such as Foley insertions and IV starts
- Collaborate with healthcare team to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic medical records
- Assist with patient mobility, safety, and comfort as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
- BLS certification
- Telemetry certification required
- At least 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Med-Surge certification
- Experience working with telemetry monitoring equipment and IV therapy
- Outgoing personality and ability to thrive in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to high-pressure situations

Unit Information:
- Location: K9-B Observation Unit, 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
- Bed count: 20 beds, staffing includes charge nurses, RNs, PCTs, and HUCs
- Patient ratio: Night shift - 1:6 (stretch to 1:7)
- Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter pumps
- EMR system: Cerner/PowerChart
Dress Code:
- All navy, all white, or white tops with navy bottoms
Additional Info:
- Weekends on rotation, on-call duties as applicable
- Firefighting, trauma, renal, neuro, ortho, spine, and general surgery experience beneficial
Start Date: November 10, 2025
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Asheville, NC
Compensation:
- Travel RN Telemetry rate: $79 per hour
