Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about procedures and post-operative care.
- Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegate tasks to team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a cardiovascular or surgical specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a CVOR or similar surgical environment.
- Ability to perform independently while demonstrating strong clinical judgment.
- Familiarity with the nursing process and complex patient care.
