Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the neurosurgery and telemetry units.
- Monitor patient symptoms, vital signs, and ECG rhythms, ensuring prompt response to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain state licensure.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally with neuro or telemetry units.
- Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends on a rotating basis.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Neuro or Telemetry unit.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Outgoing and self-motivated personality to thrive in a dynamic environment.
