Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Telemetry

• Wausau, WI

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care for a telemetry unit, including assessments, medication administration, and basic EKG interpretation
• Perform dressing changes and monitor post-surgical patients in cardio-thoracic, vascular, and general cardiology departments
• Utilize electronic charting and medication systems such as Pyxis, epidurals, PCA pumps, bar code scanning, and IV Alaris pumps
• Care for step-down critical care patients and manage equipment like chest tubes, wound vacs, temporary pacers with epicardial wires, and chest tubes
• Float to various units including MSICU, MSIMC, CICU, and occasionally to med-surg areas, based on department needs

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with computerized charting and medication administration systems
• Familiarity with critical care procedures and equipment
• Ability to work varied shifts and adapt to different units
