Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult cardiac patients in a stepdown unit.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using electronic health records.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Support patient education and family communication regarding treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina or multistate RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- EPIC electronic medical records experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a cardiac stepdown or similar inpatient specialty.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular diagnoses such as MI, sepsis, angina, and related treatments.
- Ability to float across units as needed with documented competencies.
