Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room for elective surgical procedures including orthopedics, spine, general, cardiovascular, plastics, GYN, robotics, and urology.
- Assist in preparing the OR, ensuring sterile techniques and proper equipment setup.
- Support surgical team members during procedures, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth surgical operations and patient recovery.
- Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Experience with elective surgical cases in orthopedics, spine, cardiovascular, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to the team environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in orthopedics and spine surgery.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability to new technology and equipment.
