Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing services to adult patients in a Medical/Surgical unit.
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care, including wound care, and assist with procedures such as NG tubes, chest tubes, and wound vacs.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Collaborate with a team of RNs, LPNs, patient care technicians, and unit staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Follow unit policies and safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient care environment.
• Demonstrate compassion and encouraging bedside manner to support patient recovery and comfort.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license, in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience in a Medical/Surgical inpatient setting.
• Knowledge of wound care, pre/post-op procedures, and management of central lines (PICC, port, CVC).
• Ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with acute care equipment such as wound vacs, NG tubes, and chest tubes.
• Experience with Meditech EMR system.
• Strong compassionate personality and effective communication skills.
