Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgery in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting findings accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Follow hospital policies and safety procedures, including maintaining up-to-date BLS certification.
- Assist and support patients with varying mobility and care needs, from ambulatory to total care patients.
- Ensure compliance with unit protocols related to neuro, neurology, ENT, and general surgical services.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or acute care setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in neuro or neurology units is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with postoperative neuro, ENT, or general surgical patient care.
- Ability to work night shifts consistently and adhere to holiday work requirements.
