Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adult patients.
- Prepare and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning for accurate diagnostic images.
- Prepping patients and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Review and analyze ultrasound images, report findings, and evaluate patient history to assist in diagnosis.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to frame the clinical questions and expand examinations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited program or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from recognized certifying bodies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Less than 1 year of professional experience in cardiac ultrasound.
- Familiarity with transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress testing procedures.
