Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, contract, 13-week assignment, on-site, days/nights rotations, including every other weekend and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-volume ER setting.
• Perform advanced assessments, interpret diagnostic tests, and manage complex emergencies including trauma, stroke, STEMI, CVA, neuro-trauma, and respiratory emergencies.
• Administer medications, blood products, and sedation therapies following established protocols.
• Manage invasive procedures such as arterial line placement, IV starts, central line care, and neuro-monitoring such as ICP monitoring.
• Ensure patient safety through adherence to isolation precautions, triage protocols, and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver prompt, high-quality emergency care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a trauma or emergency care setting.
• Strong skills in trauma management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and invasive procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high-acuity cases, and work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work on hard-start date of 11/17 with no more than 3 days of RTO, and no RTO required during the first two weeks of assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a STEMI, stroke, and neuro-trauma certified facility.
• Knowledge of blood product administration, ventilator management (CPAP/BiPAP), and ABG interpretation.
• Prior experience managing complex trauma cases, including spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
