Registered Nurse Telemetry

- Night shifts, full-time, contract assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for telemetry patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit, including managing ED held patients
- Float between units as needed, with a minimum of every other weekend work and holiday coverage
- Work 16-32 week assignment, ensuring compliance with all unit protocols and patient care standards
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system, with recent experience required
- Monitor and operate IV pumps, bladder scanners, and other patient care equipment
- Collaborate with respiratory and ancillary staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience
- Valid New York State RN license or proof of application in process
- BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred
- NIHSS certification prior to start
- Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous telemetry or med-surg oncology, orthopedics, or urology experience
- Ability to adjust to unit and patient needs, including working in ED hold situations
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EPIC system
- Reliable transportation, as public transit is not accessible in the area
