Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location
• Plattsburgh, NY

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 16-32 week assignment, nights shift

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, including handling ED HOLD patients when needed
• Work a minimum of every other weekend and adapt schedules to unit and patient needs
• Participate in holiday rotations, working 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and adherence to protocols
• Document patient information accurately using the EPIC system
• Assist with unit procedures such as IV placements, blood draws, bladder scans, and glucose monitoring

Required Qualifications
• A minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience
• Valid NY RN license or proof of application with applied date (licensing processing time of 6-8 weeks considered)
• BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred
• NIHSS certification prior to start date
• Epic experience within the past 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Med Surg Oncology, Orthopedics, or Urology units
• Knowledge of IV pumps, bladder scanners, and respiratory support systems
• Ability to adapt to floating within various tele units, including ED hold
