Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in a high-acuity stepdown or telemetry setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient needs while documenting all actions and patient responses.
• Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team and family, ensuring timely and effective treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and policies.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel on duty.
• Ensure patient safety and promote patient-centered care during each shift.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Nursing License in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from approved providers.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment in a telemetry/stepdown unit.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care setting.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to or during onboarding; pass is mandatory to start.
• Flexibility to float between departments or local locations within 20 miles.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Epic EMR system experience.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
