Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM (occasional 3 PM to 3 AM), including weekends and holidays as needed. No call required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across all age groups.
- Administer treatments and interventions for critical conditions such as sepsis, stroke, and cardiac emergencies.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, STEMI and stroke designated facility.
- Support special care populations including cancer, behavioral health, medical emergencies, and sepsis.
- Cover shifts that may extend to holidays and weekends based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale certified.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Previous experience in a STEMI and stroke center preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital with a cath lab, women's health, or stroke care.
- Background caring for special populations such as oncology, sepsis, and behavioral health.
