Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for postpartum, antepartum, pediatric, and GYN patients, including newborns and stabilization of labor patients.
• Cover Med-Surg overflow and potentially serve as the second RN in the Special Care Nursery (SCN).
• Float between units such as Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, Pediatric, Med-Surg, and Telemetry as needed.
• Operate and utilize unit-specific equipment including EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, and Medfusion Pumps.
• Assist in staffing coverage for vacancies, staff onboarding, and FMLA coverage, supporting a patient census averaging 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, and 1 GYN patient.
• Maintain adherence to unit protocols and support team collaboration to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OB/L&D experience.
• Active BLS certification through AHA.
• Active ACLS certification through AHA.
• Active NRP certification.
• Valid Minnesota RN license.
• SNSA certification (must provide proof of registration with the state of MN).
• Ability to float to other units including Telemetry and Med-Surg.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience (or equivalent EMR system).
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends, and assist with schedule coverage and staffing needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification.
• Experience with other EMR systems besides EPIC.
• Familiarity with union protocols regarding floating and staffing.
