Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including antepartum triage, active labor, and postpartum care.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring the safety of both mother and baby.
- Assist with deliveries and neonatal resuscitation as needed.
- Support new mothers and families during the postpartum period, providing education and assistance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation certifications
- Intermediate fetal monitoring certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing a high-volume delivery unit (approximately 40 deliveries per month)
- Ability to care for both mothers and newborns effectively
- Strong assessment and communication skills
