Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Assist with circulating and PACU responsibilities, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the hospital’s electronic medical record system.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, performing assigned tasks as required.
- Support the surgical team during C-sections and orthopedic procedures with necessary skills and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications.
- Ability to work weekdays and participate in rotational call, including one weekday (17:30–06:00) and one weekend per month (Friday 16:30 through Monday 06:00).
- Experience with circulating and PACU nursing.
- Must have C-section experience and familiarity with orthopedic procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital setting with short-term acute care.
- Experience working with Meditech electronic charting.
- Ability to work independently within scope and adapt to float assignments.
