Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to adult ICU patients, including geriatrics.
- Manage cardiac patients with open heart and balloon pump procedures.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Administer blood products and medications via IV and central lines.
- Monitor ventilated patients and manage invasive lines such as arterial, central, and PICC lines.
- Ensure patient safety through proper suctioning, IV insertion, and maintaining protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
- Cardiovascular experience, including open heart and balloon pump management.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- In-person NIH, VIP, MAB, or CPI courses only.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with IV insulin protocols.
- Proficiency in interpreting ABGs.
- Ability to manage ventilated patients and arterial lines.
