Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry setting, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
• Interpret and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias, manage cardiac drips, and utilize rapid response teams as needed.
• Perform gastrointestinal care such as feeding tube management and urinary therapies including pre/post hemodialysis.
• Administer medications including Vasoactive drips (no titration), Heparin protocols, and PCA.
• Manage respiratory support devices such as High Flow Nasal Cannula, ABG analysis, and non-invasive airway management.
• Monitor patients with neurological or psychiatric conditions, including stroke, neurosurgery post-care, and traumatic brain injury.
• Maintain sterile techniques, wound care, and listen to patient needs for comprehensive care.
• Utilize electronic medical records system for documentation and communication.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Missouri.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS and ACLS preferred.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and emergency response.
• Knowledge of gastrointestinal, renal, respiratory, and neurological patient care requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in LTAC or similar intermediate care settings.
• Exposure to ER holding, neuro stepdown, orthopedic trauma, and post-surgical patient management.
• Proficiency managing Vasoactive drips, PICC lines, tracheostomy, and chest tubes.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
