Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit, focusing on neuro patient populations
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and protocols
• Document patient conditions and interventions accurately in electronic health records
• Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Contribute to a team approach to patient safety and quality care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain one
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• At least 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably in neuro or medical-surgical units
• Ability to pass an EKG interpretation test prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro care experience or familiarity with neuro protocols preferred
• NIH certification and experience are a plus
• Willingness to learn and assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
