Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location
• Bloomington, IN

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an emergency room setting, including triage, assessment, and intervention.
• Float to inpatient PCU units as needed, with experience in stepdown or ICU care preferred.
• Collaborate with team members in a team nursing environment, delegating tasks appropriately to LPNs and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Handle patients with a range of acuity levels from moderate (MS) to critical (ICU/PCU).
• Respond effectively to fluctuating patient ratios and acuity needs on a boarding unit.

Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Comfortable working in a float capacity across units, including PCU/stepdown and ICU.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in an acuity-adaptable ER or inpatient units.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team nursing environments involving LPNs and CNAs.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and major holidays.
