Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to CVOR patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist with large-bore IV starts, medication administration, arterial line, central line, and epidural placements.
• Support intraoperative procedures including patient positioning, induction, intubation, and skin preparation.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist surgical teams as needed.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner systems, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• Previous critical care experience, particularly in a high-acuity environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Valid RN license in North Carolina (or eligible to obtain).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with GE Carescape Monitoring systems.
• Preoperative nursing experience.
• Knowledge of EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting) procedures.
• Experience in robotic surgeries or cardiac OR settings.
