- Travel, Night shifts, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Trauma Surgical Unit specializing in trauma, orthopedics, and urology patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
- Float to other units and hospitals as required, ensuring seamless support across departments.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Meditech EMR.
- Deliver individualized attention to hospitalized patients undergoing illness, surgery, testing, or observation.
- Adhere to unit policies, including wearing solid navy scrubs and working according to schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Valid Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing; will consider 18 months with relevant specialty experience.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a related specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in trauma, ortho, or urology nursing.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
- Flexibility to float across units and hospitals.
