Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Schedule / Job Type: Travel, Days, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders on a 36-bed telemetry unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring flexible coverage and staffing.
• Adhere to unit protocols and maintaining patient safety standards during all interactions.
• Comply with hospital policies and documentation requirements using the Meditech EMR system.
• Deliver patient education and support to patients and families with lung-related diagnoses.

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact license.
• Associate degree in nursing.
• BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, or 18 months with high-level licensing.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Respiratory care skills and experience working with lung disease patients.
• Ability to float across units and adapt to different patient care needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
