Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, on-site, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, manage assessments, and administer treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech system.
- Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and post-operative care for CABG patients.
- Adhere to unit policies, including dress code and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in cardiovascular or stepdown units.
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with cardiac procedures, including cardiac caths and post-op CABGs.
- Familiarity with floating policies across unit types.
- Advanced skills and certifications related to cardiovascular nursing.
