Key Responsibilities
• Provide holistic medical social services to patients and their families to address physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges impacting health.
• Assist individuals across all age groups, from prenatal to elderly, in overcoming barriers to health and well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and community resources to develop and implement care plans.
• Offer counseling and support, ensuring patients understand and navigate available services.
• Document patient interactions and interventions in accordance with healthcare protocols.
• Perform supervisory tasks when necessary, working independently or with a team.

Required Qualifications
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• One (1) year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Valid Alaska State license at the Master’s level (LMSW) or eligibility.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Cross-cultural experience, especially working with bilingual populations.
• Fluency in English and Yup'ik languages.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse populations.
• Ability to interpret data, create reports, and present information clearly.
